Volunteer Treasurer required for British Heart Foundation Scotland Aberdeen Branch
The Aberdeen branch of British Heart Foundation Scotland are now starting the process of looking for a replacement Treasurer to be the primary officer responsible for all the money the branch raises. The present treasurer is preparing to stand down after a large number of years doing the job but plans to remain as an active committee member.
British Heart Foundation Scotland is the nation’s charity and we are totally committed to preventing people’s lives being devastated by heart disease.
The Aberdeen branch represents the charity in the local community in the Aberdeen area and surroundings, accepting donations from individuals, groups and associations as well as local companies. It also produces a varied calendar of fundraising events including a successful annual golf event for corporates. Other recent fundraising successes and future plans include a quiz night at Mannofield , a Burns Supper, an Artistic evening at Blairs, a fashion show at Westhill a ladies lunch and a strawberry tea.
The branch are an extremely active and successful fundraising group and would particularly welcome individuals who also want to contribute to the general working of the branch and who can help build on the fundraising success
Training and support will be available if required and expenses are offered.
