Our client is a specialist in providing innovative, electrical, instrumentation and electronic solutions for the oil and gas industry. Due to successfully winning new work, they are expanding their engineering team and they are in a position to recruit an electrical and instrumentation design draughter to work within the existing team. This role could be an excellent opportunity for someone to continue developing their skills and become in the long term a key member of the project team. Day to day, you will be responsible for designing and drawing up electrical and instrumentation systems. They need someone that doesn't necessarily need to work from a sketch, that can design the system themselves and use their own initiative. You will have to interface with clients on information and problems and will potentially be groomed for a project engineering role in the future. Their project engineers are tasked with taking projects from inception to completion, through initial client brief, design, manufacture, installation and commissioning and you will play a fundamental part of the team at many of these stages.  You will need to have a good competency with autocad 2D and ideally have a knowledge of PLC and SCADA This company has an extensive client base across the energy market consisting of operators, project management services, drilling & service contractors. This ensures a large variety of work which in turn allows the successful candidate to maximise their exposure to the industry, equipment and client base.  We are looking for a team player to fit into a small team.
