Fear of Public Speaking?
Terrified of Public Speaking? You're not alone. According to The Book of Lists, the fear of public speaking ranks number one in the minds of the majority of people. Far above the fear of death and disease, comes the fear of standing in front of a crowd and speaking.
Fear no more, help is at hand!
Toastmasters International is the largest non-profit public speaking program in the world, with around 215,000 members worldwide. The Aberdeen Club (25 people, 8 nationalities) host their evenings twice a month. prepared and impromptu speeches, with structured constructive feedback.
Various meeting and organisational skills are also on the agenda, and even the most nervous of us have a great time! (who'd have thought?)
We meet on the first and third Thursday of the month from 1900 to 2100 at the Northern Arts Club, 8 Bon Accord Square.
So if you want to beat the fear and ENJOY speaking in public, come along.
