Due to a new hotel opening we are recruiting for a management team in Aberdeen. As part of the management team at Travelodge you will be responsible for the day to day running of the 119 bedroom hotel & bar cafe, you will be effectively leading your team to maximise sales & profit.
Aspects of your role will include-: maintaining brand standards; driving great customer service through your team; mentoring and developing your team; Maximise sales and profit within your hotel and deliver your agreed targets and sales plan; Manage and control the costs of your business; Ensure compliance with cash handling, accounts, licensing, company property, security and stock procedures in your hotel; Hold regular meetings with your team in order to encourage open communication at all levels and ensure they know everything they need to know; Develop and manage your team through regular feedback and reviews, agree action plans and timescales for follow up; Ensure your team consistently maintains company brand standards and expectations through utilization of company policies and procedures; Keeping customers happy will be the most important thing to you - Ensure your team deliver and recognise the importance of great customer service in line with company best practice;
Recruit and induct the right people for your team in line with company policy and provide ongoing development to help them reach their full potential;
Analyse and benchmark the performance of your hotel, sharing best practice, and drive ongoing improvements in all areas; Ensure that all legislation is adhered to within your hotel, including employment law, health and safety, food hygiene, COSHH; Be friendly and helpful at all times, leading by example.
Treat your colleagues in a fair and friendly way. Be prepared to muck in and help out where needed.
Skills/Experience required to be a manager at Travelodge:
GCSE's or equivelant in Maths and English
Full Driving Licence
Fully flexible on hours and able to work early shifts, late shifts and regular weekends.
Passionate about customer service
Team player and able to work on own initiative
Proven people management experience
Commercially aware and able to manage budgets and control costs (Ideally experience of managing P&L)
Target driven
Customer facing background
Proven planning and organising skills
This opportunity would be ideal for someone with assistant manager or hotel manager experience. Full training will be provided.
