An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a Farm Manager working in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland

Role Overview:-

Staff management, farm planning, day to day management of farms, including organic conversion.

Key Responsibilities:-

Responsibility for overall management of farms, including staff management.
Farm business planning, budgeting and financial control.
Advise on day-to-day practical management of farm livestock.
Working alongside accountants on preparation of annual accounts.
Reporting to farm partners and board of Estate Company.

Management of farm as a separate organic unit, including business planning, establishing financial management and accounting systems conversion planning, including marketing plans, flock and herd health plans, nutrient budgeting, and submission for conversion assistance to SRDP.
Determine stock transfer from farm, and develop management plan for stock, grassland and buildings
All day-to-day livestock operations

Improved grassland management on all farmland, including develop and implement grassland improvement plan
Agree machinery requirements, budgets and purchase
Agree stocking and grazing plans with livestock manager
Supervise staff and contractors conducting fieldwork

Support work by others developing a direct marketing business, including feasibility study and business plan, prepare and submit investment plans and grant applications,
prepare marketing plan and publicity materials.
