Our client is going through an extremely exciting time in the companies history. The staff are currently buying the company over with a view to expanding and developing their existing products. They are specialists in the design and manufacture of valves across many industries however their biggest proportion is Oil & Gas supply and therefore would ideally like someone with an oil and gas background.
They require someone with initiative and a good design background to join the organisation and take projects from inception to completion. Ideally you will have a track record in rotating equipment design and have encountered the pressure equipment directive (PED) and have a knowledge of ATEX regulations, ASME and EEMUA regulations for the Oil Industry.  Ideally you will also have solidworks experience or an equivalent 3D package.
Reporting directly into the engineering manager, this will allow someone to progress in the role and take responsibility for the design phase of numerous projects. They would prefer someone from the central belt or someone who will consider a full relocation. This is going to be a client interfacing role and you may be required to work with the sales teams to land new accounts and help in the expansion of the business. This will be a huge benefit in future as there is and will be the opportunity for the successful candidate to buy shares in the company once it is employee owned. This is a rare opportunity for the right candidate however understandably the client is looking for someone prepared to make the commitment to the company and help develop the products they currently offer.
It is an immediate requirement and they are willing to be reasonably flexible with the remuneration package for the right candidate. The company is already a profitable firm and in light of the pending changes they also intend to review their benefits package which in turn will also benefit the employee.
