Senior Inspection Engineer 70K Con Perm
As a Senior Inspection Engineer your main duties and responsibilities will consist of:
-Be responsible for the effective provision and operation of inspection systems and services to the allocated offshore platforms to ensure that plant and equipment is certified in accordance with Oceaneering and Client codes of practice, strategies and offshore legislation ensuring feedback of results to client Asset Group.
A Senior Inspection Engineer will:
- Ensure agreed inspection strategies, procedures, standards and plans are implemented and completed by Offshore Personnel and any failures, variations and amendments are fed back into the Oceaneering Technical Integrity Team and the Client representative.
A Senior Inspection Engineer will:
- Maintain direct and regular contact with Asset Teams in order to ensure an effective Inspection service. Specifically input into shutdowns and programmes to ensure inspection requirements are clearly identified and scheduled.
A Senior Inspection Engineer will:
- Review and endorse inspection reports to ensure they comply with the relevant standards. Instigate appropriate remedial action for any non-compliance and ensure that inspection frequencies are maximised. Co-ordinate and action results from associated failure investigations/significant anomalies.
A Senior Inspection Engineer will:
- Coordinate and participate in periodic plant and equipment history reviews in order to maximise plant availability. Ensure the effective application of new techniques, technologies and use of specialist NDT contractors to limit intrusive inspection so as to maximise inspection intervals, where appropriate.
A Senior Inspection Engineer will:
- Provide guidance and/or direction to Oceaneering support personnel and contractors involved in the supply, progress and organisation of services to the ICM contract.
A Senior Inspection Engineer will:
- Liaise with third parties such as related service providers, verification bodies etc. to ensure the client business objectives are achieved.
A Senior Inspection Engineer will:
- Manage the CTR (Cost, Time and Resource) process, and assist in budget preparation.
Skills Required
- Extensive experience in the field of plant and equipment in-service inspection.
- Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of design, manufacture, materials , corrosion, welding, codes, standards and legislation associated with the in-service inspection of plant and equipment.
- Must be familiar with QA/QC practices, NDE techniques.
- Able to generate a team approach to problem solving and an excellent communicator
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering related discipline preferably chartered. Lesser qualifications will be accepted provided exceptional experience in inspection engineering can be demonstrated.
