I have a room to let in my house in the Woodside area of Aberdeen on Anderson road (between Clifton road and Great Northern road)

The flat is the bottom half of a traditional granite built house. You would be sharing a large living room, dining kitchen, bathroom and a slightly untidy garden. Anderson road is handy for buses to town and walking distance to local shops and a couple of average pubs. Half an hour walk to Aberdeen Uni.
Gas hobs, central heating and fire in the living room, electric oven and shower plus double glazing throughout.
Fridge, washing machine, clothes line, shed and plenty of cupboard space.
No digital TV yet, or sky if that’s your thing, but I do have wireless broadband.
Plenty of on street parking.
The room is currently furnished with a bed and chest of drawers and I would be happy add additional furniture as required.

Me: You would be sharing the flat with me, the owner. I’m a 35 year old male teacher. I’m easy going, sociable and I like a good night out. I love music (and spend way too much money going to gigs and on CD’s), cycling and recently a bit of running. I would also say I have a social conscience. The best example of this is that I’m the treasurer of the Amnesty International group in Aberdeen.
I’m also away a lot at weekends so you may well have the place to yourself a fair amount of the time.

You: I don’t mind if you’re male or female, straight or gay as long as you’re clean and tidy. Ideally you would be a professional or a student. If not a student, I have to insist that you are in paid employment. What’s most important though is that we get on and you are willing to do your share of jobs around the house.

The rent: I’d be looking for £300 a month which includes your share of TV licence, insurance & utility bills. If you are not a student you will have to pay an additional £40 per month for council tax. Entry available immediately. Deposit & reference required.
