My client is a company that design embedded computing solutions, providing the most innovative and complete product integration services for high density data processing requirements. From board level products to fully integrated subsystems, they provide advanced technologies to the aerospace, defence and commercial markets.

They are seeking to recruit a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join their dynamic product development team based in Livingstone.

As a Senior Hardware Design Engineer the role will include:

Working as part of the product development team producing new VME, PCI and PMC digital acquisition and synthesis boards for a range of radar, signal intelligence and software radio applications.
Development of FPGA code.
Converting new product requirements into hardware designs.
Providing technical support to production
Reviewing hardware projects
Developing new products and help support existing product base.
Following products life cycle through from design to release
Working with software engineers to debug new boards

The successful candidate will have the following skills/requirements;

Minimum Education requirements:
Honours degree in engineering-based subject


Experience with FPGA development (prefer Xilinx).
PCIe development an advantage
Knowledge of VME or PCI board design
Experience with DSP for communications and/or Radar applications
Experience in VHDL Verification (prefer ModelSim)
Technically aware and keen to learn new skills
Ability to make sound judgements
Able to work both as part of team and alone
Excellent organisation skills
Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
Good written and oral communication skills.
