This client is an independent risk management organisation that works to improve its clients' quality, safety, environmental and business performance throughout the world. The services include independent inspection, certification, verification and validation, together with advanced engineering and risk management services. They are currently looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to provide specialist support to the Safety Technology Section in safety engineering and risk management activities. The candidate will be expected to operate autonomously on individual assignments and studies and as part of a team for some larger projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking design appraisal activities for new construction within authorisations and participating in HAZID/HAZOP studies. It will be their duty to carry out various safety studies in the area of consequence modelling and to carrying out and participate in QRA activities. They will be expected to participate in assuring legislative compliance on behalf of clients and take part in risk management activities. The successful candidate will also become responsible for assisting clients with general health, safety and environmental requirements aswel as supervising assistant engineers and technical assistants.
