Hi I am a mum who is currently volunteering with my local sure start worker and we are putting together Story Sacks.

These sacks consist of a story book, the main character soft toys, a factual book and a game. (All related around the theme of the story book). The aim is to encourage children under 5 to become interested in books.

We are looking for volunteers in the Aboyne, Banchory, Torphins, Ballater, Tarland areas to help put these sacks together. The story sacks will then be loaned out to families in the area free of charge.

If you have some free time and would like to get involved please contact me and I can give you more information.
We need help with recording the stories on to cd, knitters, sewers and artist. Actually we need help from anyone who is willing to give their time.



The two of us have made 40 sacks to date but we would ideally love to double this number.
