A market leader in the space planning and internal refurbishment specialist industry currently have a position for a Quantity Surveyor to join their award winning Aberdeen based group.
 
With over 15 years of experience, my client has a strong proven track record in the extremely competitive renovation/refurbishment industry. My client contributes to the success of other business by developing an integrated environment for people, technology and the processes it accommodates. They are one of the few companies who have the expertise and complete range of resources to create a workplace that reflects the culture and the changing needs of other organisation.
 
The main duties that the successful applicant will be doing are:

- Pricing Contracts
- Measuring works
- Completing monthly/contracts valuations
- Preparing final accounts
- Negotiating with main contractors
- Negotiating with clients
- Contract management of specific jobs
- Working to tight deadlines. With a predicted growth of around 15% my client is expected to continue on growing for the foreseeable future.
 
The successful candidate will also have a very strong contracts background. Due to the nature of the work involved, a proven track record in preparing tender documents is also a necessity. This position would suit someone who is capable of handling the “all hands to the pump” mentality and also someone who can cope with the slower times.
