Our client is looking to recruit a Project Engineer


The main purpose of the Project Engineer is to apply technical knowledge and expertise to solve engineering problems and provide financial/contract management to meet client specifications.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Applying Technical Knowledge and Expertise
Applying technical knowledge to solve engineering problems.
Understanding client requirements & propose solutions with guidance from experienced engineers.
Preparing technical/cost proposals, developing cost, time and resource schedules.
Preparing designs, outline drawings, calculations and work procedures in support of projects.
Completing purchasing documentation and monitoring procurement process to ensure equipment and material availability.
Setting clear objectives for project implementation, monitoring progress against them and take corrective action as needed.
Arranging equipment dispatch and transportation.
Receiving guidance from experienced engineers to deliver administration and technical support.

Communication
Building and maintaining positive and constructive working relationships with customers, management, team members and other colleagues.
Working co-operatively and productively with others to ensure planning, technical integrity and successful completion of projects.
Providing concise, accurate and timely reports and documentation.
Contributing to meetings and discussions.

Financial/Contract Management

Producing cost effective proposals and tenders to meet client specifications.
Promptly actioning engineering invoice drafts and ensure strict financial control of assigned projects.

Continuous Development

Carrying out continuing professional development necessary to maintain and enhance competence in own area of responsibility.
Being flexible in dealing with new and changing situations.
Demonstrating honesty and integrity in dealing with people and use behaviour and language which is appropriate for the workplace.

HSEQ RESPONSIBILITIES:
It is mandatory that the incumbent is familiar with and follows the Company's Policy for Health, Safety, Environment and Quality and takes an active part in the compliance and improvement of the Management Systems to maintain our system certification. The incumbent must report any accidents, incidents, near misses, actual or potential problems with products, services or systems to the HSE(Q) Department Manager.

The incumbent also has legal responsibilities under country-specific health and safety legislation to follow all Company policies, procedures, guidelines, control measures, signage and permit conditions and to know what to do in an emergency. The incumbent is also responsible for the health and safety arrangements of subordinates (if any) and for any persons visiting them while on the Company premises.
