I've recently broken up with my boyfriend, we'd been living together for a year and had been wrapped in 'homelife' but I've now realised I didn't have much of a support network other than him. Having problems finding things to occupy me in the evenings because the majority of my current friends are in relationships..

Just wondered if there are many people out there at a loose end and fancy doing something in the evenings/weekends? I have a dog (Juno, English Bull Terrier) who's a real soft lump and loves people but she means I'm restricted to either going places where dogs are welcome (ie out for walks etc) or only going somewhere for a few hours (because I'd need to come back and let her out to pee). I'm living at my Mum's short term but have just found a flat in the centre of town and we should be moving in over the next week or so. Got a car at the moment too, but only until I go back to uni at the end of September (can't afford to keep it on).

Just for info, I'm a friendly 20 (21 in Dec) year old non-smoking female and am about to go into the 2nd year of my Pharmacy course at RGU. I enjoy good banter over a drink, going for walks, watching movies, cooking/food. Like living by the seat of my pants so spur of the moment plans are always good (if they can be accommodated!). Because of the recent break up I'm not looking for a relationship because I don't think it'd be fair putting current hang-ups/issues onto a new guy at the moment, just want some new platonic friendships :)
