Medical Secretary
My client, a very busy medical practice based in Aberdeen are looking for a Medical Secretary to join their team.
The role of the Secretary will be to provide support by providing secretarial backup.
Duties Include:
- Processing of referrals and other clinical correspondence by GPs and Practice Nurses, using manual & computerised systems
- Arrange out-patient investigations with various hospital departments
- Answer queries from GPs and patients regarding out-patient appointments
- Type medical reports for insurance purposes when required Confidentiality is required from all members of staff at all times.
Key requirements:
- A recognised secretarial qualification
- Computer experience including Microsoft packages
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience of dealing with the public
- The ability to prioritise
- The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
- Previous experience within a medical environment is preferred
- Previous experience of working within a busy environment The hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
