Fitness Advice Wanted

Hi there, im a 25 year old female. Over thepast year or so I have put on a bit of weights and have started to see the effects of age lol especially on my belly and thighs. I dont have a clue about fitness training and although I try to watch what I eat I do find it hard to know what to eat.
I have searched online for some websites that gives you training plans etc but I dont know where to start. I dont want to do heaps of training and have big muscley thighs, I need to loose some fat off them.
Is there anyone out there, who can give me some advice and maybe tell me what exercises I should be doing.
Any help would be so grateful. Thanks
